HyLife Fun Days Donates More than 100 Thousand Dollars to Local Charities

What started as a casual employee gathering has grown into a powerful tradition of giving. HyLife Fun Days, in collaboration with generous sponsors, has raised more than $1.7 million, to date, for local charities.. This annual event that began in 2006, continues to evolve, expanding its reach and deepening its impact.

Each year, more than 1,000 HyLife team members, business partners, and community members come together to enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by the HyLife Culinary Team, participate in friendly sports competitions, and enjoy family-friendly activities like face painting, games, and more. It’s a time to connect, celebrate, and, most importantly, give back.

“HyLife Fun Days is more than just a celebration—it’s about creating a lasting impact. Even after the festivities of 2025 fade, the donations continue to make a meaningful difference in our community. Each charity chosen carries a unique story and purpose, and our company is honoured to support these incredible causes,” said Stacey Ashley, Director of Public Relations and Communication.

Each of the following projects received a $35,000 donation from HyLife Fun Days, recognizing and supporting the incredible work happening in these communities. In total, $105,000 was donated to local organizations that HyLife is proud to stand behind and support.

Killarney Basketball Court Enhancement Project

A beloved community gathering spot, the Killarney basketball court needs significant upgrades, including fixing broken concrete, replacing missing nets, and resizing the court to regulation standards.

Thanks to the passion of local teacher Lisa Schiels and the support of the Killarney community, these improvements are becoming a reality.

“I can’t wait to see this already well-loved basketball court become a space for even more community members to come together. This HyLife donation will be a massive help in bringing this community even closer,” said Lisa Schiels.

Steinbach Community Outreach

Steinbach Community Outreach is dedicated to addressing poverty through housing initiatives. The organization is currently building 65 new supportive housing units to provide shelter for those in need.

“We’re joining forces with Eden Health Care Services to house those in our community who are living in poverty and facing serious mental health challenges, and this donation from HyLife is a massive help in supporting this important project,” shared Charlene Kroeker, Office Manager, Steinbach Community Outreach.

Neepawa’s Yellowhead Community Recreation Centre

The Yellowhead Community Recreation Centre is receiving a much-needed upgrade with the installation of a modern heating unit. This improvement ensures that key programs, such as the popular gymnastics program, can continue uninterrupted during the winter months.

“We were able to source a brand-new, up-to-date heating unit, and this Fun Days donation will be a big help in the cost, and now we don’t have to worry about events being cancelled in the winter,” said Crystal Rannie, Director of Operations.

These projects reflect HyLife’s unwavering commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work. HyLife Fun Days is more than an event—it’s a tradition of giving that strengthens our communities year after year.
