Swine Health Information Center Invites Stakeholder Input for 2026 Plan of Work

The Swine Health Information Center (SHIC) is calling on pork sector stakeholders to help shape its 2026 Plan of Work. Each year, SHIC gathers industry input to guide the activities and priorities that support swine health across North America.

Dr. Lisa Becton, SHIC Associate Director, explains that feedback can include topic areas, research priorities, or emerging swine health challenges requiring attention.

“We encourage all stakeholders—producers, veterinarians, allied industry members, even state and federal animal health officials—to share their perspectives,” says Dr. Becton. “Our goal is to ensure we are responding effectively to emerging disease issues and industry needs.”

Input opportunities include listening sessions and an online survey available through a link in SHIC’s September eNewsletter at swinehealth.org
