SDSU Extension is inviting swine producers to participate in the SowBridge distance educational series assessment.
The SowBridge needs assessment is for previous and current subscribers, and those who have not yet participated in the webinar series. Ryan Samuel, assistant professor and SDSU Extension Swine Specialist, said the survey will help program organizers determine if changes are needed.
Provided by the Iowa Pork Industry Center at Iowa State University, SowBridge is an Extension webinar series produced through a collaboration of 15 colleges and universities from the nation’s major swine-producing states. It is for anyone involved with swine production, including operation owners, caretakers, technicians, managers and technical service providers.
SowBridge sessions are generally from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. CT the first Wednesday of the month for 12 months. Participants sign up for the entire program year which starts in February and runs through January of the following year.
Each session focuses on a different topic presented by a subject matter expert from a university or industry. About 30 to 45 minutes of the hour-long sessions are a presentation, with time for questions at the end. All sessions are recorded and available online for up to 180 days.
