Christensen Farms is recognized as a 2023 World Mega Producer. One of the largest family-owned pork producers in the United States, Christensen Farms, relies on the dedication of employees, contract farmers and producing partners. Christensen Farms has 143,000 sows in production in multiple states. With nearly 1,000 employees and 1,500 contract partners, Christensen Farms spans across the Midwest to include facilities in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois and South Dakota. Christensen Farms currently operate three feed mills, manage 140,000 sows on 44 farms, and oversee more than 350 nurseries and grow-finish sites.
Christensen Farms is the largest shareholder of Triumph Foods, a producer-owned primary pork processing plant in St. Joseph, Missouri. Triumph Foods also holds a 50 percent partnership in another primary pork processing plant, known as Seaboard-Triumph Foods, LLC of Sioux City, Iowa.
Through key packer and partner relationships, Christensen Farms markets nearly 3.6 million hogs per year with increased traceability, quality assurance and pricing stability for their company and customers.
