Duane Kleve and Tera Baker will assist Nedap’s North American livestock business partners and producers with technology and marketing needs.
Nedap Livestock Management, a global leader in automated dairy and swine herd management technology, announces two additions to its North American livestock team. Duane Kleve has joined as general manager, and Tera Baker has joined as applications and marketing manager.
“Duane’s and Tera’s personal and professional experience in the livestock industry and their passion for agriculture make each of them a good fit for our team and our customers,” says Bertino Verstege, managing director, Nedap Livestock Management.
Kleve will be responsible for sales and marketing opportunities by working with the North American livestock team to collaborate with Nedap business partners and producers to strengthen business relationships and increase on-farm management success.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business from Iowa State University and a master’s degree from the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. Kleve grew up on a dairy and hog farm in Northeast Iowa and has been involved in the livestock industry professionally since 1995.
He has managed training and technical support teams for milking equipment companies, led operations and engineering teams for a global feed additive company and served as a general manager for a milk replacer manufacturer. Most recently, Kleve served as general manager and sales manager for Midwestern BioAg.
“It’s exciting to be working with our great team and Nedap’s outstanding technology, which I’ve had the opportunity to use first-hand,” says Kleve. “I’m looking forward to making a difference for our business partners, as well as helping producers make herd management improvements and gain efficiencies.”
Baker will work with Nedap Livestock Management’s North American dairy business partners to spearhead technology advancement and help drive the team’s marketing efforts.
She grew up on her family’s dairy and crop farm in Southwest Michigan and was active in 4-H and FFA. She earned a bachelor’s degree in agri-business management from Michigan State University and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University.
She’s spent the past decade working on the supply side of agriculture in pharmaceuticals and technology. Baker’s tenure includes several years in sales and marketing for animal health companies, followed by technical sales and sales management for precision-feeding technology. Prior to joining Nedap, Baker served as livestock products sales manager for Topcon Agriculture.
Baker received the 2020 Michigan Farm Bureau Young Agricultural Employee Award. She also serves on the Junior Advisory Committee for Holstein Association USA.
“I’m looking forward to working with this team, the technology and a company that’s been in the dairy technology space for decades yet is filled with a can-do, entrepreneurial spirit,” says Baker.
“Duane and Tera will be instrumental in developing market opportunities as we work toward our goal to help dairies and pig farms across North America enhance efficiency and profitability,” adds Verstege. “They will be assets to Nedap Livestock Management, and we’re pleased to have them on our team.”
