Veterinary Pharmaceutical Solutions Expands Operations, Celebrates 30 Years of Commitment to Herd Health

Veterinary Pharmaceutical Solutions (VPS), a trusted leader in livestock pharmacy compounding, is marking a major milestone in its mission to support animal health. Celebrating 30 years of service to the industry, VPS has officially completed a significant pharmacy expansion at its headquarters in St. Peter, Minnesota.

The new facility nearly doubles the size of VPS’s existing operations and is designed to set the industry standard for quality in compounding. The expansion includes advanced compounding suites, an R&D wing, a microbiology lab, and additional warehouse space—all aimed at accelerating innovation and delivering tailored solutions to veterinary and producer clients.

“This expansion is a direct reflection of the feedback we’ve received from our customers over the years,” said Dean Warras, CEO of VPS. “As we celebrate three decades of innovation, our focus remains firmly on evolving with the needs of the livestock and poultry industries. Every aspect of this new space is designed to help us deliver greater quality and smarter solutions.”

Backed by Granite Creek Capital Partners, the investment signals confidence in VPS’s future as a driver of innovation in the animal health space.

“We’re proud to support VPS as they expand their capabilities,” said James Clark, partner at Granite Creek. “Their commitment to delivering value through customized, forward-thinking solutions is evident in everything they do.”

A key focus of the expansion is strengthening VPS’s expertise in animal drug compounding—an increasingly critical service for producers and veterinarians who need customized medications to meet specific on-farm health challenges. With oversight from the FDA and alignment with state pharmacy boards, the new facility ensures compliance while unlocking opportunities for novel approaches.

“This expansion gives us the room and resources to think outside the box,” said Stacy Peters, Chief Commercial Officer. “Whether it’s new equipment or dedicated space for separating custom solutions, we’re now even better equipped to respond to what’s happening in the barns.”

Construction began August 1, 2024, with occupancy approval granted April 1, 2025, by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy. As VPS looks ahead, the company continues to build on its legacy of trusted service and innovative problem-solving for animal agriculture.
