Big news for Springdale, where Tyson Food, already a big deal, is going to get bigger.
A company news release this morning says the company will consolidate corporate offices in Springdale and expand its existing corporate footprint. This will move workers from Chicago, Downers Grove, Ill., and South Dakota.
The news release doesn’t detail the number of employees affected or the size of the planned new buildings, but said it is a “multi-year” development. UPDATE: 40/29 says the move affects about 1,000 employees. Tyson has 1,700 workers in the corporate offices in Springdale now.
