The April May 2020 issue of Prairie Hog Country is printed and in the hands of Canada Post. The online version will be updated Thursday. Included within this edition is follow up coverage from Manitoba Swine Seminar, updates on USMCA, extensive information on how the hog industry is dealing with COVID 19, plus much more.
We are all in this together and all finding that things are changing by the hour/day and week. Every morning the latest stats are released with those affected with nasty virus. While so sad the number of cases, the encouraging number is recovered. Agriculture is for sure a vital essential service, we still need to keep our animals feed, watered, bred, and delivered to processors in order to keep Canadians fed. Again we are all in this together.
Thanks to Pastor Neil Stern, my pastor from my church St Peter’s in Leduc. I asked if he could offer our readers a few encouraging words during these unique days, he obliged and shared a portion of his sermon from March 22nd.
Also included in this issue is our annul readership survey – please take the time to fill out and return. Your opinion does count and helps Prairie Hog Country continue to be your preferred source of hog news and information.
Stay safe and stay healthy.
