Families Walk Away with nearly 6lbs of pork at NE IOWA FOOD BANK MOBILE FOOD PANTRY
Monthly, the Mobile Pantry Program is serving families, individuals, and seniors in area of high need in an effort to help the hunger-relief. Through the program, a truckload of food is distributed in pre-packaged boxes or through a line where those attending have the ability to choose and take what they need. Food pantries across the country are finding themselves running short of product, especially protein.
PIPESTONE arranged for 6 pounds of pork tenderloins to go with each 190 box, totaling a 1,140-pound donation. Every visitor was also given some pork recipes to try at home. Pork was donated by PIPESTONE with contributions from WholeStone Farms and SAM Nutrition.
