NOVUS has announced a key addition to its North America swine team, with Michaela Braun stepping into the role of Swine Sales Manager.
Braun, who joined NOVUS in 2023, brings a unique combination of feed mill expertise and technical support experience to her new position. Having previously served as Senior Liquid Systems & Sales Specialist, she worked closely with customers to manage application systems and provide technical insight across dairy and monogastric operations.
Effective March 1, Braun will support swine producers across the Midwest United States, focusing on delivering practical nutrition strategies across sow, nursery, and grow-finish operations.
Bridging the Gap Between Feed Mills and Production
What differentiates Braun’s background is her deep understanding of feed manufacturing and logistics—an area that continues to play a critical role in modern pork production.
With many operations relying on toll mills, coordination between formulation, production, and on-farm execution is essential. Braun’s experience allows her to act as a connector across these areas, helping producers and nutritionists align feed strategy with real-world delivery.
Her previous work included managing application systems for liquid methionine solutions such as ALIMET® Feed Additive, while also supporting feed mill operations across North America.
Built on Technical Foundation
Before joining NOVUS, Braun served as a feed manufacturing consultant with NutriQuest Manufacturing Services and managed the Feed Technology Center at the University of Illinois. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Feed Science and Management from Kansas State University—bringing a strong technical foundation to her commercial role.
According to NOVUS leadership, her transition into the swine team reflects both her capabilities and the company’s focus on developing talent internally.
Supporting the Next Phase of Swine Nutrition
As the swine industry continues to prioritize efficiency, precision, and consistency, the integration between feed systems and animal performance becomes increasingly important.
Braun’s role is expected to strengthen that connection—helping translate nutrition strategies into outcomes that producers can measure.
Swine Web Insight:
The next gains in swine production won’t come from nutrition alone—but from how effectively it’s delivered, managed, and aligned across the system.
