Brazilian Pork Exports Surge by 17% in February

Brazil’s pork industry saw a significant boost in February, with exports reaching 107,500 metric tons—an increase of 17% compared to the same period last year. The surge in shipments marks a record high for February, reflecting strong international demand.

In addition to volume growth, export revenues soared to $272 million, a 32.6% jump from the previous year. This increase highlights the strength of Brazil’s pork sector as it continues to expand its global reach.

Key markets for Brazilian pork include China, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, which continue to drive demand for high-quality protein. Industry leaders credit this momentum to strategic market expansion efforts and a commitment to improving competitiveness.

With global protein demand rising, Brazil’s pork sector remains well-positioned to capture further growth opportunities in the months ahead.
