A fire in the early hours of Sunday, April 14, caused significant damage to the Red Bud Meat Market, a well-known local business in Red Bud, Illinois.
Emergency crews from the Red Bud Fire Department were dispatched around 1:40 a.m. after reports of visible flames at the rear of the building. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered active flames and quickly began suppression efforts. The Prairie du Rocher Fire Department also responded to assist.
The fire was brought under control by 2:20 a.m., preventing a total loss of the structure. While no injuries were reported, the building sustained substantial damage from fire, smoke, and water.
