🔝 Key Highlights from the 2024 Rankings

  • Murphy Family Ventures re-enters the rankings at #9 with 150,000 sows, following a significant acquisition from Smithfield.

📈 Notable Trends

  • Veterinary- and nutrition-led systems like Pipestone, AMVC, and Suidae Health continue to rise in influence, driven by precision production and health integration.

  • Family-owned operations such as Brenneman Pork, Reicks View Farms, and The Maschhoffs show continued resilience and strategic scaling.

  • Sow reductions by legacy players like The Maschhoffs, Tyson Foods, and Mapleton reflect a cautious recalibration in response to market pressures.
