Downtown Sioux Falls is sizzling this October as restaurants across the city battle it out in the annual Downtown Sioux Falls Pork Showdown — a celebration of all things pork.
More than 25 local restaurants are taking part, each crafting a signature dish that highlights the versatility and flavor of pork. From tacos and sandwiches to pizza and gourmet entrées, chefs are showcasing their creativity and passion for this essential protein.
Throughout the month, diners are invited to explore downtown, taste the entries, and cast their votes to help crown this year’s pork champion. Using the DTSF Digital Passport, participants can track which restaurants they visit and rate each dish. The competition runs through October 31, with the winner announced at the end of the month.
Highlights include inventive offerings like al pastor–inspired pizzas, smoky pulled-pork sliders, and modern takes on comfort-food classics. The event is a fun way to bring the community together, boost local dining, and spotlight the importance of pork to the region’s economy and culture.
