Country View Family Farms Hosts NPPC Staff Tour at Huston Hollow and White Deer Feed Mill

In late August, Country View Family Farms welcomed staff members from the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) for a firsthand look at modern pork production.

The visit included tours of the Huston Hollow facility and the White Deer Feed Mill, giving NPPC staff members valuable insight into every stage of the production chain—from feed manufacturing to animal care.

Learning About Pork Production from the Inside

During the tour, NPPC representatives met with team members across the facilities, discussed production practices, and observed daily operations. At Huston Hollow, they learned about animal care standards, biosecurity protocols, and technology integration that help ensure the health and well-being of the animals.

At the White Deer Feed Mill, the group saw how precision feed management supports efficiency and herd health, from ingredient sourcing to the delivery of customized feed rations across farms.

Strengthening Industry Connections

“This visit was a great opportunity to showcase the work we do every day and to strengthen the connection between producers and industry leadership,” said a Country View Family Farms spokesperson. “We were able to highlight how innovation, teamwork, and commitment to animal care come together to support a safe, sustainable pork supply.”

The visit underscored the value of collaboration between producers and industry organizations, ensuring that decision-makers stay closely connected to farm-level realities as they shape the future of pork production.
