People who want to become certified as Pork Quality Assurance Plus 3.0 Advisors are reminded of the Sept. 10 session in Ames and its Aug. 31 application deadline. The Iowa Pork Industry Center at Iowa State University is hosting the session and Iowa State Extension swine veterinarian Chris Rademacher said people who would like to attend need to get their applications in soon.
“We have limited space available for this session and there is no walk-in option,” he said. “So, please get your applications submitted as soon as possible. The application deadline is Aug. 31 or when the 30-person limit is reached.”
“Those who wish to attend need to submit their application soon to ensure receipt in time for approval and payment,” Rademacher said. “The form is available as a fillable pdf document and as a word document. People can choose the format that best suits their needs.”
Those who qualify for the advisor training and are interested should download the two-page application from the IPIC website, then complete and submit it.
Cost of the session is $75 per person and includes refreshments and the noon meal. This is due after the applicant is notified of approval. Your spot is confirmed when payment is received. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the session starting at 9 a.m.
The Iowa Board of Veterinary Medicine has approved seven hours of CE credit for the session
