North Carolina is the second-largest hog-producing state, with 15% of U.S. hogs raised there. Second image, from the USDA shows the distribution of hog production across the United States.
The third image shows a more detailed image of North Carolina hog production, from the NC Pork Council. Note that the highest production counties lie directly in the current path of the storm, which may bring record-breaking wind, rainfall, and flooding to these areas.
